    Say I have a file that I want to pass to my C program, so I use this command in unix myCprogram < theFile.dat How do I write myCprogram so that it "reads" theFile.dat?

    When I execute the myCprogram < theFile.dat command theFile.dat becomes my standard input, but how do I "work" with the file?
