Write an equation of the line that fits each description a line through the pint (-4,0) and parallel to the line y=3x-9

    Parallel lines have identical slopes. So the line you're looking for has the same slope as the given line, which is 3. Using the point-slope formula, you set up the equation \[y-0=3(x-(-4))\]
