Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Ok. We know that a radius is perpendicular to a tangent at the point of tangency. Sp we want to know if the radius CB is perpendicular to the proposed tangent AB. We can use the Pythagorean Theorem to find out if ABC is a right triangle. Is it?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0So then, CB is perpendicular to AB and CB is a radius so AB must be a tangent.
