well it is a 45-45-90 triangle and that means the two legs are congruent then you use Pythagorean theorem 5sqrt(2)^2+5sqrt(2)^2= c^2 25(2)+25(2) = c^2 simplify 100=c^2 sqrt both sides 10=c hope this helps
