Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0first one, the two triangles are similar with ratio 5:3 a/b = 3/5 b/(8+a) = 3/5 second one, they are similar too x/ (x+5) = (x2)/(2x1) solves those

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Oh, I solved the second one! :D I don't understand the equation you gave for the first... I just do the second equation b/(8+a) = 3/5?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0which one did u do? a/b = 3/5 5a = 3b b/(8+a) = 3/5 5b = 24 + 3a 5a = 3b * 5 25 a = 15 b 24 + 3a = 5b * 3 72 + 9a = 15b 72 + 16a = 0 a = 4.5 substitute back in to find b
