    well the value is the number cuz 2.34 is well worth 2.34 and 5.45 is well worth 5.45

    they are values on their own if it said something like "what is the value of x" and you found the answer to be x = 14, then the answer would be 14 basically the value of x is 14

    but 2.34 is a number itself, so the value of 2.34 is 2.34
