    Well they had a special way of record keeping and communication in their land (that no one could decipher) I think they tied knots in ropes called like, Quapa or some weird word like that.

    @Opcode Remember though, the horses and the guns, especially the guns, is what really caught the Incans off guard. It made them think that Pizarro or whoever it was basically was a god.
