The kinds of things that *are* allowed in this group: - Discussions and questions on musical theory. - Discussions and questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, etc. - Posting your own original work for feedback and criticism (as usual, please be respectful). Do NOT: - Post YouTube videos for other artists. - Post SoundCloud links for other artists. - Post questions about what people's favorite genres are. Remember, this is still a study site, and we want to have a music group. We're running this experiment to see if this group can be successful; however, if things don't work out, we won't hesitate to delete the group. Thanks, and enjoy!
Could you specify on what you mean by "original work"? (Do you mean just anything? Or actual music?)
Now, I can bump this like there's no tomorrow :3
Just a second, jolly.
Because poetry could be posted in the Writing section, and other non-music related art (drawings, photography, etc.) could be posted in the Art History section or the OpenStudy Feedback section (I've been told it's allowed, as long as it's your own work).
Wasn't specified in the original post, I'd guess just Music. But, to make sure, lemme tag a mod.
@TuringTest is the one that made a second batch of rules. Maybe she could clarify?
or @karatechopper ?
Wow, I am liked here :) jk Uhh..Idk I didn't come up with the rules for this group...just yanno, bring an admin in haha, but DON'T tag em too much.
We should be able to speak in dubstep here.... just a thought....
Am I right or am I right?
"Do NOT: - Post YouTube videos for other artists. - Post SoundCloud links for other artists. - Post questions about what people's favorite genres are." If you created it it's fine. but if it's another artist then ^
WUB WUB WUB WUB, WUB WUB WUB WUB, WUB WUB WUB WUB, WUB WUB WUB, WUB WUB WUB, WUB WUB.
lols the heading reminds me of a tv ad
hey, is Music a place for young Talents to gow up....or just a place for questioning??
Not sure. @preetha @shadowfiend might know though.
i gave him time to post question while i was having watermelon @Koikkara
sooo, we can post original work and have helpful critiscism yes? right? :)
see though there is no rule about asking how much a instrument is.
It was not in the list of what is allowed. So yeah.
so it is allowed ?
it was just a one time thing
No. It's not talking about music theory, questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, or original work. You're asking how much an instrument costs, not discussing an instrument. I realise that it's a first offense, just don't do it again :3
kk my bad
wat did i do wrong
all it says is i love music
don't make my spend my energy typing things out.
i put i love music and i get yelled at hahaha OMG
The solution to this is to embed a script that automatically prevents YOUTUBE video links and any other prohibited pieces of information from being posted. This can be easily done by your software engineer, software developer, site coder, or whatever associated title OPEN STUDY may have.
Rawr. I understand the rulez.
you guys are going to get the music site taken off if you keep playing like that. please don't ruin it for the rest of us.
