how come that rna synthesis does not require a primer like that of DNA replication?

    It's a different biologocial process. RNA polymerase doesn't require a primer, just a DNA sequence to use as a template. What's more the Primase that creates the primer for the DNA polymerase, it's actually an RNA polymerase.
