Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Lets avoid asking question that are considered "phishing" for personal information please.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Yes, it's a very good class and I'm in algebra 2 right now, but they just sent out a message saying that we we are not allowed to use openstudy anymore.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0familiar with ... and go to, theres a fine distinction :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0But openstudy has really helped me. Do they know when you're on it?

amistre64
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0openstudy has been abused as of late by connections academy and flvs students to cheat on assignments

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Yeah, well, thanks to those people, we aren't allowed to use it anymore.

amistre64
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0see if posting a "similar" question is ok by the school; or is it that openstudy is banned altogether?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0What about students who really need help? Some of the resources on the school arent very helpful.

amistre64
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0needing help studying material is one thing; needing to get answers for tests is another. study help should always be available, while we do out best to curb those who "need help" cheating.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0That's what I'm saying, but the principle said it was banned all together. I use this site responsibly and I really appreciate it.

amistre64

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0then im sure you should follow the schools ruling

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I agree. Maybe you can find a similar site. :( I only come on here to help people and every now and then ask a question.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0uhmm @beesknees01 i have flvs, im on it now, and i never got a message about openstudy.com

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@mikaa_toxica13 it came through this morning. Are you in algebra 2?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0It came form Cynthia Alloway

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0it is not clear to me how some one can "ban" a web site. if you are sitting at home studying, and have questions, how exactly does someone keep you from asking it on OS?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Its called online school. The instuctors can see everything that goes on your account.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Can they really? That's creepy..

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Well, wait. Yeah, they can see everything going on in our account, but can they see what tabs we open outside that?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Im not very sure but they look at how long your on, when you stop working and when you get back on.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0No they cant, they can only see if something is highlighted and what site its highlighted from

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0And yes im in algebra 2. they cant see all that, htey dont have THAT much power

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0i think it would take only a limited amount in imagination to get around such a silly ban

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0besides , students will come on here and y!a and any other site. they dont care.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0So, basically, they can see if we plagiarize.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes. when i ned help witha question and have to highlight it, i jus highlight the whole page and told them my pc is messed up. so they cant tell on my account

skullpatrol

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Don't risk your education for a few quick answers.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yeah. they have a special program.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0im not risking it. if i get caught they give me a quick call and its over. not a big deal. besides i have a bright future, so im not worried

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@skullpatrol I don't want to cheat. I need help and their tutoring on there sucks.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0You could get a "required to withdraw" notice!!!

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0not for a few questions. and i always ask for explainations and not jus the answer.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0If you knowingly IGNORE the ban you are taking a risk.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0im not ignoring anything. i never got a msg.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I'm not talking about you. Just in general.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0They could easily send spy "teachers" in here, right?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I don't want to get kicked out of my class, I'm just severely pissed off at those kids who are too lazy to do their own work and got us all in trouble.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 dont listen to anyone but think about what would effect you. im not saying effect you in a bad way im meaning like you getting help with your questions.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@skullpatrol Probably, but I'm not doing anything wrong.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0not that your dumb or nothing but to where when you do need help you have it.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Again, I'm just talking generally. @beesknees01

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@skullpatrol yes tehy could send spy techers here, but they always have flvs in their username, and all they can see is questions, unless someone puts their real name on here they wont know the difference.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0These "spyteachers" could come in here and see who is abusing the system.... and use computer programmers to track down the users through their IP address...with the cooperation of Open Study this can be done, the next step is "REQUIRED TO WITHDRAW"

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well ive been doing this for 2 years and never got one. so either they cant tell, or they dont care.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0This is all just my opinion, so make your own choice and live with it.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0If you learn through using the library on your own, you will be better off in the long run.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0my parents are too cheap and lazy to take me to the library

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Take control of YOUR education and go there yourself. Let me emphasize LONGRUN Education began in libraries... and there is a lot of information there for those who are willing to look

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@skullpatrol are you a spy? lol

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 No, I don't give out answers as @mikaa_toxica13 knows.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0who said i ont want to ? im not gunna walk for 3 hours to get to a library when i can get teh same informationa nd then some by searching on the internet.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 skullpatrol is the only user i know that is actually helpful. i dont have toa sk for an explaination, its already given.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0If I was a spy, I would just give you the answer and see if you used it on the test, right?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well if another student had the same answer, u could only assume it had to be one of those two students right ? but there are A LOT of students who use this site and flvs, so there really isnt a way to trace it if u dont know their real name.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0When I post questions on here, I usually do the work myself and then ask someone to check it for me. If I don't understand a problem at all, I ask them what the first step is to solving the problem and then I work it out.

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0That is where the IP address comes in.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I emailed my algebra teacher and stated my opinion. If he says no means no, then I'll respect the flvs ban and not go on here anymore. even though that would be very disappointing.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0im always in InPrivate browsing soo its untraceable

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0"Cheating" in math has been going on for hundreds of years, in fact those that study Physics find it perfectly acceptable to use math as only a tool; if you you went to a university library you would be truly amazed.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@skullpatrol Yes, I know that. Cheating in general has been going on for forever. It's just human nature, but I don't want to cheat! I just use this site strictly for help, NOT THE ANSWERS.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Unfortunately a few bad apples have ruined the pie :(

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 I have FLVS too! What claases are you taking?!

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@carlaelaine Right now I'm just taking algebra 2, I just finished my government class.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@skullpatrol yes, unfortunately.

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 I'm taking Liberal Arts, Marine Science and English 4, the classes are pretty easy:)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@carlaelaine Dang, what grade on you in? I love english. I'm dual enrolled at hcc and I take English there.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@mikaa_toxica13 Neither do I, but apparently no one cares.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 11th, and really me too! I like the class on there. and what about you>? what grade are you in:)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Wow, you must be pretty smart to be in those classes. Also in 11th.

skullpatrol

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@beesknees01 I care.

skullpatrol

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0The best advice I can give is "go to the library."

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0and when u cant get to a library ?

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Find a way, where there is a will there is a way.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0You dont have to PHYSICALLY go to the library. There are online library resources. I read books online all the time.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Why would I go to the library for math help?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0They have math books to help you with math.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Like @skullpatrol said 'go to the library'

skullpatrol
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0You are going there to look for books that explain what you are studying in class... different books give different explanations and different examples to learn from, right?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I guess so, anyway, thanks for answering for my questions and giving me pointers. I may or may not be back on this site. When I need help with a math problem next time, I'll go to a book.
