    Yes, it's a very good class and I'm in algebra 2 right now, but they just sent out a message saying that we we are not allowed to use openstudy anymore.

    openstudy has been abused as of late by connections academy and flvs students to cheat on assignments

    What about students who really need help? Some of the resources on the school arent very helpful.

    needing help studying material is one thing; needing to get answers for tests is another. study help should always be available, while we do out best to curb those who "need help" cheating.

    That's what I'm saying, but the principle said it was banned all together. I use this site responsibly and I really appreciate it.

    it is not clear to me how some one can "ban" a web site. if you are sitting at home studying, and have questions, how exactly does someone keep you from asking it on OS?

    Its called online school. The instuctors can see everything that goes on your account.

    Im not very sure but they look at how long your on, when you stop working and when you get back on.

    yes. when i ned help witha question and have to highlight it, i jus highlight the whole page and told them my pc is messed up. so they cant tell on my account

    @skullpatrol yes tehy could send spy techers here, but they always have flvs in their username, and all they can see is questions, unless someone puts their real name on here they wont know the difference.

    These "spy-teachers" could come in here and see who is abusing the system.... and use computer programmers to track down the users through their IP address...with the cooperation of Open Study this can be done, the next step is "REQUIRED TO WITHDRAW"

    Take control of YOUR education and go there yourself. Let me emphasize LONG-RUN Education began in libraries... and there is a lot of information there for those who are willing to look

    well if another student had the same answer, u could only assume it had to be one of those two students right ? but there are A LOT of students who use this site and flvs, so there really isnt a way to trace it if u dont know their real name.

    When I post questions on here, I usually do the work myself and then ask someone to check it for me. If I don't understand a problem at all, I ask them what the first step is to solving the problem and then I work it out.

    I emailed my algebra teacher and stated my opinion. If he says no means no, then I'll respect the flvs ban and not go on here anymore. even though that would be very disappointing.

    "Cheating" in math has been going on for hundreds of years, in fact those that study Physics find it perfectly acceptable to use math as only a tool; if you you went to a university library you would be truly amazed.

    @skullpatrol Yes, I know that. Cheating in general has been going on for forever. It's just human nature, but I don't want to cheat! I just use this site strictly for help, NOT THE ANSWERS.

    You dont have to PHYSICALLY go to the library. There are online library resources. I read books online all the time.

    You are going there to look for books that explain what you are studying in class... different books give different explanations and different examples to learn from, right?
