For the following reaction, 3.61 grams of chlorine gas are mixed with excess phosphorus (P4). The reaction yields 3.47 grams of phosphorus trichloride. P4 (s) + 6 Cl2 (g) =4 PCl3 (l)

    Use 3.61 grams and convert it to PCl3 grams. That will be the amount of grams yielded in theory. Then dividie amount (in theory) by 3.47 grams of PCl3. That will be your percent yeild
