    its cell diferentiation, meiosis, then sexual reproduction The sex cell has to undergo differentiation in the gonads, after which its undergoes meiosis and now contains 23 unpaired chromosomes(all mature sex cells are haploid and only become diploid with 46 chromosomes after they have fused with the other gamete during fertilization), then sexual reproduction can occur.

    after fertilization when the gamete has been formed, thats when we have mitosis to increase cell number
