    It depends on the organism but in diploïds ( like humain ) the fertilisation occurs only between two haploïd cells. In the first stage of the meiosis diploid cells become haploïd. So the meiosis transform normals cells in gamete (wich are haploïd) and just after it's the fertilisation.

    Meiosis is the creation of sex cells.fertilization is when a male sex cell(sperm) unites with a female sex cell(egg) and creates a fertilized egg called a zygote.
