If the area of a rectangle with length of x cm and width of 1.2 cm is 4.2 square cms, what is it length x? (the formula for area to write the equation: area = length * width)

    use the equation you just wrote area = length x width 4.2 = ? x 1.2

    if you divide both sides by 1.2. you are left with the length (which i wrote as "?")
