The design is not my main motivation towards not wanting an iPhone. Like @SnuggieLad said, policy is a majr issue. Finally, iPhones are just not worth the bang for their buck - I could easily buy non-Apple hardware much better! (And the software would be on par or better as well in my opinion.)

i would go with GALAXY too, iphone hasn't changed its layout much from its original one in 2007. also, i like (its much better) the samsung's touch keyboard.

Also, the Galaxy fits my needs more - it has much more RAM, and my multitasking habits find it far more useful. The new iPhone is supposed to be better in benchmarks as the SII (or III I haven't been following his xtremely closely), but daily usage shows that the tiny performance difference that the iPhone has in computing is just not even close to the benefits for more installed RAM.

I want the galaxy becuase it is not factory locked like the iphones are. Let me explain, Apple keeps you from doing much of the stuff the galaxy can. Using flash, Iphone can not, galaxy can. Iphone settings are not customizeable past what they allow you to do, samsung galaxies are! you can do much more on just what you get from the factory by samsung than you can with apple. Apple keeps you fom using key features like document editors which come standard with Galaxy phones. You can also do more edtiting in Samsung phones becuase samsung allows you to do whatever you want because it is YOUR product. If you mess with the software on a galaxy ...no big deal...its yours. If you mess with the software on an iphone you will be stopped from using all apple services. See apple wants their phones the same as the way they sent them to you. I will word it differently...I am making the iphone seem like a bad phone. It isnt. See the iphone is a great phone if you want the best apps. Galaxy is the best phone if you care about design and functionality. Apple constantly releases new apps while Galaxy stands by making sure you have the best capability on your phone. Yes @inkyvoyd It has more ram, Here is what gets me though. SD CARE CAPABILITY! Samsung Galaxy phones can do all the iphone can and more. you can have the hardrive already on your phone PLUS extra space on a sd card. while apple limits you to 8gb and up to 16 gb... IN ALL REALITY IF YOU BUY AN 8 GB IPHONE YOU REALLY GET A 6.48 GB IPHONE! they sell them under false size's! if you get a 16 gb Galaxy you get...you guessed it a 16 gb galaxy...and if you want you can put a 32 gb sd card in it and raise it to 48 gb! and they sell the phones alone with more than 32 gb! So all of that being said which is better? Bottom line...If you want the best apps..get an iphone but the apps get boring quick. If you want the best quality and functionality/capabilitie get a galaxy! PS: The galaxy four will have an eye reader...what i mean by that is you can scroll and click with your eyes! and also the best touch screen/display and the best camera, voice recignition to date!

Well the screen size is a big factor for me. Galaxy note 2 is 5.3 inches, Iphone 5 is 4 inches. Some people might feel 5.3 inches is a bit too much. But owning a galaxy note 1, i know you really get used to it and start liking it. The bigger, the better, with a good resolution of course. I feel samsung kinda messed it up with galaxy grand. The resolution just isnt good enough. Also i feel iphone is really overpriced. Samsung sells most phones today, but apple still makes more profit. That says it all. With the new iphone 5, they changed the dock. That means anyone who uses had an iphone, wont be able to use any accessories they had. Thats mean of apple. Well talk about features, look at S4. Samsung is really pushing the limits. Lets see what the come up with in S5. :P I dont think apple can even come close to samsung here anytime soon. In terms of design, the plastic stuff spoils it for the galaxy series. Most of the galaxy phones, if not all have it. Iphone wins it for me here. And htc one, with an all metal body is worth a mention here. But overall, with the pricing, the apps and everything, as @SnuggieLad said, galaxy is YOUR phone. My vote goes to galaxy.

Galaxy because you are free to do whatever you want if you get iphone you are stuck with just apple. For example if you want music on your iphone u HAVE to get from itunes , If you get Galaxy you can get your music from WHEREVER you feel like it. just one example

Not necessarily. You can transfer your music either to the iTunes store (cut + paste the folder) or Media player from any folder, and download it into your iPhone. I had limewire a longgg time ago, and all the songs were saved on a folder, I simply cut and paste the music into iTunes... and all my songs were on my iPhone. As for apps or personalizing, jailbreak it.

I woudn't "scream" for any of the phones. I think each one has it's qualitys. The S4 has a better screen then the iPhone 4, but the samsung gs3 doesn't. And we're waiting for the iPhone 5s. Personally, Android is the best. OS wise. But granted, the iPhone 5 is thinner and faster then the S3 (not the S4). But personally, I'd go for the stock Android gold like that found in the Nexus 4. It's cheap for an unlocked phone.

And yes, everyone thinks that the GS3 is boosting a quad-core. And.... Thats only the 3G version. Who wants a 3G phone, compared to 4G ? Well, the 4G version is quad-core and even the iPhone beats it's speed on the 4G version. On the 3G, quad-core, the iPhone is very slightly slower.
