    how far is galaxy a from earth, and how fast is it moving away from earth?

    The Milky Way is our home galaxy. A galaxy is made up of trillions of stars. One of those stars in the Milky Way is our Sun. So Earth isn't "far" from a galaxy, it's surrounded by one! :-)
