    Wow I am sorry I did not get to you any sooner. I have not been on a computer in a while :( But if you would still like to know then here we go: (x+16)/3=3x - multiply both sides by 3 x+16 = 9x - subtract one x from both sides 16 = 8x - divide by 8 on both sides 2 = x x = 2
