Give the sign of the electrodoes and the reaction that occurs at each for both voltaic and electrolytic cells. Anyone? ^^

Hey! So positive electrodes attract negative electrons form an outside source, so for electrolytic cells, both positive and negative electrodes exist in the cell and all charged energy is attracted to the polarized surface.

Fuel cells are based on the controlled reaction of hydrogen and oxygen which efficiently generates electrical power and heat.

In a voltaic cell (one that happens spontaneously), electrons flow from a negative electrode to a positive electrode (anode ==> cathode). The reaction that happens is a redox reaction where the anode is oxidized (goes from a solid to an ion) and the cathode is reduced (going from an ion to a solid). An electrolytic cell is the same but in complete reverse. The only difference is that an electrolytic cell uses an electric current to make a reaction happen that otherwise wouldn't happen (is not spontaneous).
