    what is the y-intercept? what is the value of y where x=0?

    slope is rise over run, or y /x, so how much does it move left when y increase by 1 ?. The y intercept is the y value for x = 0

    Your right the slope dos cross over 1/2 and the y-intercept is -1

    yep, D is the right answer, Y= (0,-1) then you go up 1 and over 2 so the slope would be 1/2
