The third side of the field is formed by a creek.     use the cosine rule : |dw:1367658839969:dw| cosY = (DY^2 + YG^2 - DG^2)/(2 DY DG) cosY = (150^2 + 98^2 - 172^2)/(2 * 150 * 98) simplipy the calculations above, then to get the measure of angle Y take the cos^-1(....)

    to got D, use the sine rule y sinD = d sinY 172 sinD = 98 sin85 sinD = 98 sin85/172 = 0.568 D = sin^-1(0.568) = 34.59... (take nearest = 35) u were right :)
