Which statement describes one of the effects of President Truman's decision to use atomic weapons against Japan? There was an international outcry against the future use of atomic weapons. Other nations intensified their efforts to develop their own atomic weapons. The United States got Allied nations to contribute money to its atomic program. I'd probably go with the second choice -- that other nations intensified their efforts to develop their own atomic weapons, such as the USSR. A number of other nations would also follow suit such as the UK, France, and China.
