Fiber optics is kind of system transmitting light or electromagnetic wave. It comes like as a bunch of very narrow diameter tube inside of which is specially arranged to reflect beam of light untill it reach the other end

Fiber optics is based on the phenomenon of total internal reflection.
When the light moves from one medium to other then the bending of light takes place, When the angle of incident ray is greater than some critical angle then this phenomenon of total internal reflection takes place.
In fiber optics, the material used, the diameter of the tube and angle of first incident light is such that there will be many many internal reflections while the light travel through the tube.
