can some one tell me if i'm correct on this problem.. A quality control inspector examined 500 light bulbs and found 14 defective . at this rate how many defective bulbs would there be in a lot of 55000 bulbs. there would be ___defective bulbs answer 1540

    The fraction you need is 14/500. Multiply that by 55000.
