in the first one take 9 on the other side so it becomes sqrt t=7 and squaring on both sides u get t=49

in the first one sqaure both sides so u get a quadratic equation x^2-2x-15=0 which can be written as (x-5)(x+3)=0 so x=5 or -3 now substitute this values in ur equation and the value for which lhs=rhs is ur answer so here only -3 satisfies the equation
