hmm ok normally if i have the option to solve with any of the 3 methods i would go with subsitution or elimination.. beacuase in graph it takes alot of time and precision required so normally high chance of errors on the graph paper unless really good with sketching
nubeer
  • nubeer
i would do this by subsitution look how i am doing.. if u don't get just stop me there ok?

5x +3y(3y + 14) = 4 / 4 ......?
nubeer
  • nubeer
\[5\left( \frac{ 3y+14 }{ 4 } \right) +3y = 4\] this you will get now just simplify it.. you will get the value of y
nubeer
  • nubeer
O.o
Ell

hmm?
Ell
  • Ell
This may be a stupid question, but how would you simplify it? Sorry for bothering you, im terrible at this :P
nubeer
  • nubeer
\[\frac{ 15y+70 }{4 } +3y = 4\] now u have to take LCM on the left side.
nubeer
  • nubeer
it's fine .. you can ask.. i really don't mind helping people :)
