Easiest way to graph these is to plug in a few values for x and solve for y then plot the points and you should get two intersecting lines. The solution is the point (x,y) where the two lines intersect. So for the first equation when x= 2 , y= 4 and when x = 0, y = 6. Connect these two points then find two points that satisfy the second equation and connect those. Find the point where they intersect.
