    ... doesnt really answer my question tho. you have the ratio; 7miles:50minutes, dividing both sides by 50 gives us 7/50 miles: 1 minute

    proportion time... 7/50 = x/15 --7 miles to 50 min = x miles to 15 min now cross multiply 50x = (7)(15) 50x = 105 x = 105/50 x = 2.1 check.. 7/50 = 2.1/15 (7)(15) = (2.1)(50) 105 = 105 (correct)

    50x = 7*15 50x = 105 x = 105/50 x = 2.1 Answer: 2.1 miles
