|dw:1370890413384:dw| 50x=7x15 x=7x15/50 x=2.1 I hope I'm right :)
This can be solved with a proportion. |dw:1370890515540:dw|
proportion time... 7/50 = x/15 --7 miles to 50 min = x miles to 15 min now cross multiply 50x = (7)(15) 50x = 105 x = 105/50 x = 2.1 check.. 7/50 = 2.1/15 (7)(15) = (2.1)(50) 105 = 105 (correct)
50x = 7*15 50x = 105 x = 105/50 x = 2.1 Answer: 2.1 miles
I was right :)
