A model airplane of mass 1 . 5 kg is attached to a horizontal string and flies in a horizontal circle of radius 6 . 8 m, making 1 . 6 revolutions every 4 s. (The weight of the plane is balanced by the upward “lift” force of the air on the wings of the plane.) The accelaration due to the gravity is 9.81 m/s 2 . Find the speed of the plane.

do you think he means angular velocity or "if the string suddenly snapped, what would it's straight line velocity be" @yrelhan4 ?

so what you gotta do here is.. find the circumference=2pi*r.. thats the total distance.. and then find the time taken to complete one revolution. 6 revolutions in 4seconds.. so 1 revolution in 2/3seconds.. speed=distance/time will give you the answer..
