1) d) Remember the solvent dissolves the solute and in this case, the water is dissolving the carbon dioxide. 2) I'll go through each answer a) An Arrhenius base puts OH ions into solution. there are no OH ions on the products side of you equation so no. b) Lewis acids and bases donate or accept electron pairs. It doesn't look like it although you could check by drawing the structures. c)Bronstead lowry acids put H+ into the solution d) Bronstead lowry bases take H+ out of solution I'd say your answer is c) since you have H+ ions on the products side of your equation.
