@jperez18 You should know the formula of slope first m = y2 -y1 / x2 - x1

uri, that gave me -1. is that my answer?

  • ivettef365
now you do the equation y = mx + b where m = slope and b = y-int

Do you know that :|dw:1371050772689:dw|

So, m = y2 -y1 / x2 - x1 m =5 -0/0 -5 m =5/-5 m = -1 Ans :)

well the equation you want is y = mx + b, you have m = -1 and b = 5 how would the equation look like?
amistre64
  • amistre64
the equation "in standard form" that you want is: ax + by = c

ivette, y=-1(x-5) ?

5a + 0b = c 0a + 5b = c 5a = 5b whenever a/b = 1 , the simplest form is when b=1, and a=1
