how much is pie?
anonymous

the value of pi does not matter in this context it is just a constant the 30 and 180 are what really matters

0.5235987755982989?
anonymous
  • anonymous
that's right, but don't bother going that far you could leave it simply as pi/6 which is much easier to write, and has much more meaning than .52359 etc. etc.
anonymous
  • anonymous
so on my paper write pi over 6?
anonymous
  • anonymous
yep degrees are measured on a scale of 0-360 radians measured from 0 to 2pi so, if you are writing with radians, it's acceptable to leave the pi in there
anonymous
  • anonymous
so thats how u convert 30 degrees to radians?
anonymous
  • anonymous
yep degrees are an arbitrary measurement, pi is defined by the circle so if you want to switch from degrees to radians you want to multiply by pi, and divide by 180 degrees (half a circle) if you do the opposite, you go from radians to degrees
anonymous
  • anonymous
so how did uk that 0.5235987755982989 = pi over 6
anonymous
  • anonymous
well i checked it on my own
