    It's a character encoding scheme for every symbol you type, like letters. They're shown as letters on your screen but they're actually codes that are translated to letters. What koikkara meant with ascii codes are the special characters you can use. Like Ⓐ and ❤ ☺ and many more. There are thousands of different symbols you can use with ascii \(\Huge ☺\)

    wow... so... why it's called ascii codes? does the inventor was named ascii? or there was some other meaning to it?

    ASCII = American Standard Code for Information Interchange :)
