I've attached a livewire file which contains the circuit I constructed and the jpg are the pages of the book in which I found the circuit. For the livewire file, I used a signal generator since a microphone isn't available. And as for the relay, I didn't quite understand it's use and all so I put a switch !

The problem is that the circuit I designed in the livewire isn't correct since the buzzer should have stayed on even when the signal generator is back to zero.
