how do i generate the date from farmat datetime.now()

    You can break out the components of the datetime.now() like this: from datetime import datetime now = datetime.now() current_year = now.year month = now.month day = now.day

    The process also calls for breaking the datetime.now feature into somerthing that can be output on a charater by character basis. That was part what should have gleaned from the reading. particularly, Chapter of Think Python.
