Which factor can you cancel from the numerator and denominator?

    4x-16/12-3x if you factor out 4 from the top and 3 from the bottom you end up with: 4(x-4)/3(4-x) you can rearrange 3(4-x) to -3(x-4), and you end up with: 4(x-4)/[-3(x-4)]
