5(x + 6) < = 3x  4 (distribute the 5 through the parenthesis) 5x + 30 <= 3x  4 (subtract 3x from both sides) 5x  3x + 30 <= 3x  3x  4 (combine like terms) 2x + 30 <= 4 (subtract 30 from each side) 2x + 30  30 <= 4  30 (combine like terms) 2x <= 34 (divide both sides by 2) 2x/2 <= 34/2 x <= 17 (x is less then or equal to 17) Any questions ?
