    David White earns $12.14 per hour for a 40-hour work week. If 7.65% is deducted for FICA tax, how much is deducted for this purpose?

      12.14 x 40 = 485.60 (this is how much he made for the week) 7.65% = .0765 (change the percent to a decimal) (.0765 )(485.60) = what is deducted for FICA tax just do the math and you will have your answer :)
