I know-If a graph is symmetric with respect to the X-axis, replace y with –y and the new equation should be equal to the original.
-If a graph is symmetric with respect to the Y-axis, replace x with –x and the new equation should be equal to the original.
-If a graph is symmetric with respect to the origin, replace y with –y and the x with –x and the new equation should be equal to the original.

I don't know much things like what you know. i just know that is the equation of an upward parabola with vertex (0,0) therefore, it has y-axis is its symmetric
but if you need the test, just put the information into the equation.
y = 3x^4 +10x^2 = or not= 3(-x)^4 +10(-x)^2??? surely they are equal, right? sp?? y is its symmetric axis
the most important is you understand how to test, right? got it?
