as far as formula distance from 2 vertices is 2a distance from 2 foci is 2c a^2 +b^2 = c^2 you can solve for b

So in the equation y^2/a^2- x^2/b^2 = 1 how would I found out what A is and B is? If i knew how to find that, i think I could find all the other parts of this hyperbola easier. ok so foci makes c^2=100 vertices a^2= 64, so A=8 B=6 right?

So using this chart that I have, with A=8 & B=6 I'd get: X-Intercepts: None Y-Intercepts: (0, +/-8) [These are also the vertices which were already listed] Length of Transverse Axis: 16 Length of Conjugate Axis: 12 Foci: (0, +/- 10) [Already listed] Directrices: y= +/- 6.4 Axes of Symmetry= x & y = 0 Eccentricity: e > 1 Asymptotes: y= +/- 8/6x Thanks a ton @dumbcow
