If ATP and NADH were each used to make 1 mM solutions and their absorbances measured at max= 259 nm (ATP) and at max = 340 nm (NADH), which solution will absorb more light? Why? (2) Draw an approximate graphical representation of absorbance at max (y axis) vs. concentration (x axis) of ATP and NADH. Since you should have two curves on your graph, make sure you label which line is which. Which compound displays the larger slope?

Maximum absorbancy at a certain wavelength doesn't indicate which species absorbed more photons, only at which wavelength it will absorb the most photons. Is there any additional info?

Did you do lab before this, or anything else, because you can't answer the question with what's given.

yh but the lab had no ATP and NADH in it

i thought they should absorb the same amount since the concentration directly proportional to absorbance or am i wrong?

you're right in that absorbance is proportional to conc. and that they both absorb maximally at the given wavelengths, but you don't know if they absorb the same percentage of incoming photons.
