So, the scientific notation is 10^3 but do I put it on top or on the bottom of the line?
anonymous
  • anonymous
your goal is cancel out the grams so you need grams on the bottom
anonymous
  • anonymous
so I write it like |dw:1377737432395:dw|
anonymous
  • anonymous
yea just like that
anonymous
  • anonymous
but I still dont understand how do I know that 10^3 goes either on the top or the bottom?
anonymous
  • anonymous
that's the thing that confuses me most
anonymous
  • anonymous
you have to put grams on the bottom so that you can cancel units and get the answer into kg. So I think of it this way, put the units that you want to keep on top
anonymous
  • anonymous
but it doesnt always go on the bottom right? sometimes is goes on top?
