Solving for all the letters or just some?

- anonymous

i think its d

- anonymous

i dont understand it

- anonymous

Ok do you know the angle of a straight line?

- anonymous

180 and its e and f

- anonymous

Yeap so we know then if the angle by E is 60 degrees then E would be 180 degrees - 60 degrees which give us 120 degrees for E

- anonymous

how did you get 120

- anonymous

Ok so a line is 180 Degrees we know 60 degrees of that is the angle next to E correct?

- anonymous

yeah

- anonymous

ohhhh

- anonymous

180-60=120

- anonymous

so know we know the angle of E we know the angle G is equal to that angle right?

- anonymous

and angle F is equal to the 60 degree angle

- anonymous

yeah

- anonymous

you add them and get 120

- anonymous

add what and get 120 hold on ill make a diagram

- anonymous

ok

- anonymous

are you there?

- anonymous

Yes

- anonymous

Does this make sense?

- anonymous

im reading it

- anonymous

Start Read Blue Green Orange Reading in order

- anonymous

ok

- anonymous

if a is 60 degrees then d is also 60

- anonymous

right?

- anonymous

no

- anonymous

oh

- anonymous

then do we have to subtract 105-60?

- anonymous

Since there are 3 angles all three of those have to equal 180, so you have to figure out two of the angles before you can find the third.
No so we know angle A is 60 degrees
and we have the angle of 45 degrees
and we know D + 45 + A(60) has to equal 180
So we add what we have 45 + A(60) which is 105 right
Now we need it to equal 180 the whole thing so if we subtract the sum of the two angles we have (105) from the total degree of a line we will get out answer for the last angle

- anonymous

so its 75

- anonymous

Correct but you do fully understand why?

- anonymous

i think so but would it also be done correctly if you were to subtract 180-45-60?

- anonymous

Yes do you know where you are getting your 180 from and why you must subract those angle from it?

- anonymous

because there are supposed to be 3 so the 3 is equal to 180?

- anonymous

Correct because the 3 form a line and a line equal 180 Degress

- anonymous

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
this is my first time using this website
