can you help me please??
anonymous
  • anonymous
I am trying
anonymous
  • anonymous
thanks I have 360/9 = 40 external angles
anonymous
  • anonymous
are these random angles or is this an irregular octagon thing or is it a perfect octagon?
anonymous
  • anonymous
oh, is E the external angle?
anonymous
  • anonymous
In this home work they only ask me for angle E but they do not say interior or exteriors
anonymous
  • anonymous
So I think is external but not sure

sorry that I am not sure, but I don't want to tell you the wrong thing. Are there multiple choice answer or not?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes you are right but the answer of that is 50 ??

@AkashdeepDeb I am leaving so could you help toledo please? or find someone else? Thanks
anonymous
  • anonymous
ok sorry it is 39
anonymous
  • anonymous
360-7=353 353/9= 39

See it is a 9 sided polygon. We can find the total sum of all interior angles by this formula [180 degrees * (n-2) ] where n is the no. of sides. So after you've done that! Add up all the angles you have been given = (9-2)*180' You'll get the value of x. And now get angle E (7x+9) by putting x's value in 7x+9!! :D Understood that?
anonymous
  • anonymous
so still 1260/9= 140
anonymous
  • anonymous
140 measure of each angle??
anonymous
  • anonymous
so one angle at a time add it up or just a huge equation?? please

I have to go I had a headache, I'll comeback later Thanks a lot

I think this is an irregular nonagon (nine sided figure with unequal sides and interior angles) However, the interior angles of a 9 sided figure add up to 7*180 degrees = 1260 degrees To solve for the interior angle E (= 7x+9) you must add up all the interior angles, set that sum to 1260 and solve for x once you have x, you can use that value to find E btw, I am guessing angle D is 6x+14 rather than ^x+14

anyhow, as already well put by phi, add all angles to 1260 and solve for "x" A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H+i = 1260

ok I got thanks a lot
