Clearly f(0) = -11 A quick catalogue: f(0) = -11 f(1) = -18 -- Well, that was the wrong way. f(2) = -25 f(3) = -14 -- It's turning around. f(4) = 57 - and x = 4 is also an upper bound, so we can quit looking. There's one between x = 3 and x = 4 f(-1) = 2 and x = -1 is a lower bound, so we can quit looking. There's one between x = 0 and x = -1 How do you propose we find these guys?
