Is this an equation to solve, or an expression to simplify? I'm not sure what you're asking, because above you said "simplifying expressions" but what you put in the drawing is an equation. Or are you trying to simplify the expression on the left, and you are asking if you did it correctly with what's on the right?

Because the den'r on the right is the square of the (x+2) den'r that appears on the left, but you don't need to square that den'r on the left to get an LCD and combine those terms.......
