The easiest way to do is by using the point-slope equation :) Parallel Lines have the same slope. So find the slope of the line given to you. And we also know a point it should pass through. :D So use the equation => y-y1= m(x-x1) Understood? :)

See the question you typed has said you have a line given already and we have one more point near it. We have to find the equation of a line that is parallel to the line given to us. Got it? Now tell me if you know that form of the line.
