what does that reaction mean?
my computer is frozen- trying to answer you
The oxygen is mixed with the magnesium
and would make it endothermic???
because the magnesium is becoming warmer and will eventually burn completely???
what does endothermic mean?
when heat is formed and energy is created?
thinking that if it is an endothermic, what are the consequences?
I must be way off. I apologize. I thought I understaood it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RJLvQXce4A watch this short video, which is an example of an endothermic reaction
would the heat be absorbed as a consequence/
Okay I will watch it. Thank you.
It was cold instead of hot (endothermic) but I don't understand. In a previous lesson of mine, it said that if we warm ourselves with an electric blanket, it would be endothermal. This would mean heat, not cold.
* endothermic (not endothermal)
this guy is really good at making things easy to understand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m_FCe5aCqY so you are correct, endothermic means it absorbs heat (endo - within or in) exothermic (exo - outside) so when you see a +△H it means it is has absorbed heat and -△H means it has released heat
So I had it backwards. It would be negative (releasing heat) - B
because the magnesium would in fact be releasing heat as it burns ????
so what do you think is the answer?
endothermic = absorbs = +△H
so release would be -△H ??
yeahhhh when you take out money (think of it as heat), you are deducting it from your pocket
That makes sense- thank you so much
