\(\Large (a^2b^4)(3ab^2)\) right? It's just all a product, so you'll combine the same bases using the rules of exponents. Just remember that \(\Large x^m x^n=x^{m+n}\)

And if you ever have trouble remembering that rule, just ask yourself "what does \(\Large x^m x^n\) really mean?? It means take x and line it up m times, and then next to that take x and line it up n times.... so what do you end up with? the product of x taken m+n times. :)
