I don't usually ask these kind of questions. But I am having a ridiculous argument and I don't understand how these two people are getting a different answer. Mine makes sense. and theirs do not. I would like to see an explanation.

My logic was to assume the triangle had sides \(a\), \(b\), \(c\) and to state that: \[a+b+c=90\] Then relate the sides to an arbitrary variable \(x\) and set the following: \(a=3x\) \(b=4x\) \(c=5x\) Plug them in to the equation: \[3x+4x+5x=90\phantom{spc}\rightarrow\phantom{spc}x=7.5\] Then use that to find out the respective lengths. Is that correct?
