the y axis is when x=0 so you get a point (0,-5) and the x axis is when y=0 so you get the point (2.5,0) there is a start

For f(x), the slope is sitting right beside that x variable: its 2. For h(x), to find slope just subtract each y value from it's previous and divide by the corresponding difference in x values: For example, \(\Large {7-3\over 1 - (-1)}= {4\over 2}=2\). You can verify all other pairs of values for h(x). Compare this slope, with the slope of the others. Now you have all 3 slopes, 1/2, 2 and 2. Which is the smallest?
